DAY 0

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

As you come out of Kilimanjaro International Airport, your personal Tanzania Adventures and Safaris guide greets you with a smile: Karibu Tanzania, which means “welcome to Tanzania” in the local language. The guide takes you to your hotel, where you can stay and relax. Get your briefing about upcoming safari journeys in Africa. The next day, your guide takes you on an exclusive, private safari that lets you travel at your own pace. Enjoy the luxury of your own safari jeep and take the opportunity to stop and watch the animals as long as you like, and take as many photos as you can.

DAY 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

The distance from Arusha to Tarangire National Park is about 120km, and it takes about 1.5 hours. Tarangire National Park is well known for the river running through it and the warthog, known as ngiri in Swahili. Tarangire is home to herds of elephants and giant baobab trees. These trees live for hundreds of years, are a source of water and food for elephants in the dry season, as they use a special technique to draw water and eat the baobao trees’ bark. Additionally, the Tarangire River is the only source of water during the dry season. You can see herds of up to 250 elephants alongside many other animals.

Day 2 and 3

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park (Central to East)

Serengeti National Park is a prominent safari destination, mainly because of the Great Wildebeest Migration that passes through it. They are enormous, stampeding herds  – impressive and amazing. You can also see the vast number of predators that live here: over a hundred thousand lions, two hundred cheetahs, a thousand leopards, four thousand hyenas, and hundreds of wild dogs. DAY 4

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area (highland & Crater)

The renowned Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s seven natural wonders. The crater was formed two million years ago when a stratova volcano erupted. The fertile lava has created a unique ecosystem, now home to the highest concentration of animals widely found in Africa. In the crater, you can see thousands of animals, including lions, zebras, buffalo, and black rhinos, and the views are astonishing. You’ll get confused about where to look.

DAY 5

Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park is located between Lake Manyara and the Great Rift Valley in the Arusha and Manyara Regions. Tanzania National Parks Authority administers the park and covers an area of 325 km², including about 230 km² of lake surface. It is well known for a tree-climbing lion and pink flamingos.

Day 6 and 7

Lake Eyasi Camp & Manyara National Park Then to Arusha Hotel

Tanzania offers rich cultural immersion. You will visit Lake Eyasi and Oldonyo Lengai to enjoy the famous Tanzania tribe, the Hadzabe, who live in northern Ngorongoro. Lake Eyasi is a seasonal, shallow salt lake – a paradise for bird lovers. The lake is home to African spoonbill, flamingos, grey-headed gull, great white pelican, and pied avocet. Then visit the bushmen, the Hadzabe, who practice hunting. On the last day of the tour, you will have an early start with a quick, fresh breakfast. You will make an early descent into the Great Rift Valley at around 6:30 am, home to the largest population of pink flamingos, making it an astonishing and attractive national park in Tanzania. In the morning, animals are active, so keep your camera ready. It is definitely recommended, this is the last leg of your safari with about 4 hours’ drive left to Arusha. You will be dropped off in Arusha by 6:00 pm, with an incredible experience and lots of memories to cherish. This is the time you bid goodbye to your team.

The Serengeti, like other national parks, is open from 6 am to 6 pm. It’s ideal to enter the parks in the early morning. Wildlife is highly active during this hour. It’s important to operate within park hours to adhere to safety guidelines and to respect wildlife.

No, you can’t see tigers in African national parks. For that, Asian national parks are ideal.
