FAQ

Shira route to Mount Kilimanjaro is challenging. The trek difficulty level ranges from moderate to difficult. One of the primary challenges is high-altitude sickness, which can affect trekkers’ health.

Yes. You need training. Though the trekking is not technical, the steep ascents, high elevation, and lack of oxygen make it difficult for the trekkers to climb. You need fitness, flexibility, and mental strength to climb the mountain summit.

The Barranco wall is steep enough to put the non-technical trekkers in trouble. Your expert guide will lead you through the trek route with confidence and safety.

You need to take warm layers, waterproof gear, a trekking pole, hiking boots, and sleeping bags. You may also carry protein bars that instantly boost energy.

The months from July to September and from January to March are ideal for climbing the mountain via the Shira route.
